How to make a group public, private or hidden

Groups are one of the core features to Hubbli and they make communicating with any particular group of members (e.g.parents, staff, students) really easy. 

Depending on the context of the group you may want to adjust the privacy settings. 

In general most groups should be set to 'Private' but here is a description of all three group privacy settings:

Private: means that only members of your Hubbli site that are also members of that group can enter the group and see the content within it. 

Public: means that anyone (even someone who is just visiting the site) can see the content of the group feed.

Hidden: means that only member of that group will even see it in the list of groups on the site.

Here is how you can change the privacy settings of a Hubbli group:

1. Go to any group that you have admin permissions in and click on the 'Manage' link in the group navigation.

2. Click on the 'Settings' tab.

3. Select which privacy level is appropriate for that group.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the 'Save Changes' button.
